Bioidentical hormones and pellets

Many Dallas ads use the word bioidentical. The open question is compounded mixes and pellets. Those compounded versions are not FDA-approved, and FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality ^[22]. In 2020 the National Academies said the evidence does not support compounded bioidentical hormones for most people and that prescribers should save them for patients who cannot take an approved product ^[12]. The Menopause Society lists dosing errors, impurities and thin safety data among its worries about compounded versions ^[13]. Seeing a menopause doctor: what changed on the label

Bring the new label language to a Dallas menopause visit. HHS said in November 2025 that FDA would strip three items from the boxed warning on menopause hormones: heart disease, breast cancer and probable dementia. FDA signed off on the first six revised labels on February 12, 2026 ^[14]^[15]. Systemic estrogen taken without a progestogen still carries its endometrial cancer box, and the new labeling favors starting before 60 or within a decade of the last period ^[14].

TRT clinics: the diagnosis comes first
