How we check

Online HRT for menopause: providers compared

You can get menopause hormone therapy online from telehealth clinics such as Midi Health, which charges $250 for a self-pay first visit and is in network with most PPO plans [1], and Evernow, whose membership starts at $35 a month [2]. We put Hers in the avoid column: its parent company faces a July 2026 lawsuit from the FTC, Utah and Los Angeles County over subscriptions, cancellation and sharing of health data [3].

Medical review: pending. A licensed clinician has not yet reviewed this page.

How online HRT works

  1. You fill out a health history online.
  2. A licensed clinician reviews it, usually by video. Evernow offers pay-per-visit video visits that some insurers cover [2].
  3. If hormones are appropriate, the prescription goes to a pharmacy. Gennev says it sends same-day prescriptions to the patient's pharmacy [4].
  4. Follow-up visits adjust the plan. At Midi Health a 15-minute return visit is $150 self-pay [1].

What to check before you sign up

  • Who prescribes. Ask for the clinician's name and look up the license on your state board; the FSMB links every board [7].
  • What they prescribe. FDA-approved estradiol and progesterone, or compounded mixes. Compounded hormones are not FDA-approved [8].
  • Which pharmacy. A real prescription names a pharmacy you can check with your state board of pharmacy [9].
  • The company's FDA record. See our FDA warning letter tracker.
  • Price and cancellation. Know whether you pay per visit or per month, and how to stop billing.
  • Insurance and HSA. Midi and Alloy accept HSA and FSA funds [1][10].

Midi vs Alloy vs Evernow

Midi vs Alloy. Midi is built around insurance and publishes its self-pay visit prices ($250, then $150) [1]. Alloy is cash pay, accepts HSA and FSA, and shows prices only after intake [10]. Alloy's product list is longer on forms (pill, patch, gel, spray, cream); Midi includes labs in its care plans [11].

Alloy vs Evernow. Evernow publishes a membership price (from $35 a month) and bills some insurers for video visits [2]. Alloy does not take insurance. Both prescribe estradiol and vaginal estrogen. Evernow lists brand GLP-1s (Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, Mounjaro), while Alloy also sells compounded GLP-1s, which are not FDA-approved.

Providers we do not recommend

Hers (menopause). In July 2026 the FTC, the State of Utah and Los Angeles County sued Hims & Hers in federal court. The suit alleges undisclosed subscription enrollment, hard cancellation with continued charges, and sharing health data with Meta and Snap for ads [3]. FDA also sent a warning letter to the company's Hers brand on September 9, 2025, over compounded semaglutide claims; it did not involve hormones [6]. The menopause kit prescribes estradiol pill or patch, progesterone and estradiol vaginal cream, and does not show prices before a consult [14]. We do not link to it. Read our Hers menopause review and Hers weight loss review.

Vaginal estrogen and estradiol online

Evernow, Alloy and Midi all list vaginal estrogen [2][10][11]. The drug is cheap with a coupon: generic estradiol vaginal cream 0.01% was $36.74 per tube on October 17, 2026 [15]. See HRT cost for every form.

Bioidentical hormones online

Some sites sell compounded "bioidentical" hormones. A National Academies review found insufficient evidence for their clinical utility [8]. Read bioidentical hormones: cost and clinics before you buy, or start from the hormone therapy hub.

Safety note

Systemic estrogen-alone products still carry a boxed warning for endometrial cancer [16]. Tell the online clinician your full history and every medicine you take. Call 911 in an emergency.

Questions people ask

What is the best online HRT for menopause?

It depends on how you pay. Midi Health suits people with PPO insurance and publishes self-pay visits at $250 and $150 [1]. Evernow publishes a membership from $35 a month [2]. Alloy is cash pay with HSA/FSA [10]. All three are rated clean on a provisional basis; BBB checks are pending.

How much does online HRT cost?

Visit or membership fees plus the drug. Midi charges $250 for a first visit, Evernow's membership starts at $35 a month (both October 17, 2026) [1][2], and generic estradiol tablets cost $19.87 to $24.83 per 90 with a coupon [5].

Is Midi or Alloy better?

Midi bills most PPO plans and publishes self-pay visit prices ($250 first, $150 return) [1]. Alloy is cash pay, takes HSA/FSA and shows prices only after an intake form [10]. Pick based on insurance and how much you want price shown up front.

Why do you avoid Hers for menopause?

Hims & Hers faces a July 2026 lawsuit from the FTC, Utah and Los Angeles County over subscription enrollment, cancellation and health data sharing [3], and FDA sent the Hers brand a warning letter on September 9, 2025 [6].

Can I get vaginal estrogen online?

Yes. Evernow, Alloy and Midi list vaginal estrogen among what they prescribe [2][10][11]. Generic estradiol vaginal cream was $36.74 per tube with a GoodRx coupon on October 17, 2026 [15].

Does online HRT take insurance?

Some programs do. Midi Health is in network with most PPO plans but not Medicare or Medicaid [1]; Evernow accepts BCBS, Anthem, UHC and Aetna for video visits [2]; Gennev lists Aetna, Anthem and Cigna [4].

Is it safe to get HRT prescribed online?

It can be when a licensed clinician reviews your history and prescribes an FDA-approved product filled by a named pharmacy. Check the prescriber's license with your state board via the FSMB directory [7].
