Why the site exists
Paying cash for care has become normal. Drugmakers sell GLP-1s straight to patients, telehealth companies sell monthly plans, and concierge practices charge yearly fees. The prices are often hard to compare, and some sellers have drawn FDA warning letters, lawsuits or long complaint records. We built Wellchosen Health so a reader can see the real price, what it leaves out and the seller's record in one place.
What we cover
- Medical weight loss and GLP-1 medicines, with a GLP-1 cost tracker and an FDA warning letter tracker
- Hormone therapy for menopause and testosterone therapy
- Concierge medicine, direct primary care and executive physicals
- Longevity testing and wellness injections
- Reviews of telehealth companies and clinics and city pages for 55 metro areas
Who writes the pages
Pages are written by the Wellchosen Health editorial team and carry that byline. We do not list named staff, and we do not invent names, credentials, photos or patient stories. We work from primary sources: FDA labels, warning letters on fda.gov, peer-reviewed trials, government data, BBB profiles, court and FTC records, and companies' own pricing pages. Our editorial standards set out how we rate providers and handle corrections.
No licensed clinician has reviewed our pages yet. We are recruiting one, and until a named clinician reviews a page, it shows "Medical review: pending." A page will say it was "medically reviewed" only after a real review, with the reviewer's name, credentials and the review date. Read the medical review policy.
How the site is paid for
Some pages carry affiliate links to telehealth companies, marked and disclosed. They are placeholders until we join those programs, and then they can earn us a commission when a reader signs up. We also sell labeled Sponsored placements to local practices on city pages, from $300 a month. Companies rated Avoid or Not yet rated never get affiliate links, and payment never changes a verdict. Full details are on how we make money.
