Telehealth and clinic reviews: FDA letters, complaints and real prices

We have reviewed 49 telehealth companies and clinics: 28 are rated Clean, 8 Use caution, 9 Avoid and 4 are not yet rated. Four Avoid ratings rest on BBB records, such as TrimRx's F rating and 2,598 complaints in 3 years [5]; four follow a July 2026 FTC lawsuit against Hims & Hers [8]; one follows regulator action against a pharmacy partner [6]. Seven of the eight Use caution ratings follow a 2025 or 2026 FDA warning letter.

Medical review: pending. A licensed clinician has not yet reviewed this page.

A Wellchosen Health provider review is a dated check of one company's prices, FDA warning letters, BBB record and legal history, ending in a verdict of Clean, Use caution or Avoid.

How to read these verdicts

Every review uses the same rule, written out on our editorial standards page. Avoid means at least one of these: an FDA warning letter whose cited claims are still live, a BBB rating of D or F, a pattern of billing or refund complaints, or regulator or pharmacy action. Use caution means a past FDA letter where the cited claims have been fixed, with a reasonable complaint record. Clean means none of these turned up.

A verdict marked provisional means at least one check, often the BBB record, is still pending. It can change when that check is done. FDA letters behind these verdicts are listed in our FDA warning letter tracker.

This page has no affiliate links. Where a review page does have one, it says so, and companies rated Avoid or Not yet rated never get one. See how we make money.

Use caution (8)

Most companies here received an FDA warning letter in 2025 or 2026 over how they marketed compounded GLP-1s. FDA announced 30 such letters to telehealth companies on Mar 3, 2026 alone [19]. If a cited claim is still live when we check, the company moves to Avoid.

Questions people ask

Which online weight loss companies are rated Avoid?

As of Oct 17, 2026: Shed (formerly ShedRx), Fridays, MedVi, TrimRx, Mochi Health, Hims weight loss and Hers weight loss. Hers menopause and Hims testosterone are also rated Avoid because of the July 2026 FTC, Utah and Los Angeles County lawsuit over subscriptions, cancellation and health data sharing [8].

Why is a company with an FDA warning letter not always rated Avoid?

The rule turns on whether the claims FDA cited are still live. A company whose cited claims are still on its site is rated Avoid. A company that removed them and has a reasonable complaint record is rated Use caution, as with Direct Meds after its Sep 9, 2025 letter [11].

Does a BBB F rating mean a company is rated Avoid?

Yes. A BBB rating of D or F is enough on its own. MedVi, for example, has an F rating with 751 complaints in 3 years [3], and Fridays has an F rating after not responding to 35 of 41 complaints [2].

What does provisional mean on a verdict?

It means at least one record check, often the BBB profile, was still pending when the verdict was set. A provisional Clean can move to Use caution or Avoid if the check turns up a D or F rating, a complaint pattern or a live FDA claim.

Do companies pay to be reviewed or to get a better verdict?

No. Companies cannot pay for a review, a verdict or a position on this page. Some review pages carry affiliate buttons, which are placeholders until we join those programs, but companies rated Avoid or Not yet rated never get one, and this page carries none.

How often are verdicts checked?

Each review shows the date it was last updated, and each price and record carries the date we checked it. When a new FDA letter, BBB change, lawsuit or regulator action comes to light, the review and this list are updated.
