Longevity clinics: what they test and what they cost

A longevity clinic sells preventive testing, and often coaching, for cash. On Oct 17 2026 prices ran from $199 a year for a Superpower blood panel [1] to $19,000 a year for the Human Longevity 100+ Concierge program [2]. Some of the tests these clinics sell lack screening support: the American College of Radiology says there is not enough evidence to recommend whole-body MRI for people without symptoms [3].

A longevity clinic is a cash-pay practice or company that sells preventive tests, scans and coaching aimed at finding disease risk early and extending healthy years of life.

What a longevity clinic sells

The label covers four kinds of business. Each one sells a different thing at a different price, so it helps to know which one you are looking at before you compare.

  • Lab membership companies. Function Health, Superpower and InsideTracker sell blood panels with an app and clinician notes. See longevity blood tests compared.
  • Imaging chains. Prenuvo, Ezra and SimonMed sell whole-body MRI and some CT scans. See full body MRI cost.
  • Full-service clinics. Human Longevity Inc, Fountain Life and Lifeforce bundle scans, labs, genetics and coaching into an annual fee [2] [9] [10].
  • Hospital programs. Hospitals sell executive physicals; compare what each one includes.

A newer model sits between these. Neko Health opened its first US site in SoHo, New York, on Sept 24 2026 with a $499 body scan that uses skin imaging, an ECG, blood tests and body composition rather than MRI, according to a news report [11].

Who these services are for

These services are sold mainly to people without symptoms. That is the group the American College of Radiology statement covers when it says the evidence is not enough to recommend whole-body MRI screening [3]. For people with known risk, such as a family history of early heart disease, a preventive cardiologist or a primary care doctor can order tests used in guidelines, such as a calcium score for statin decisions [20]. Ask your plan what it covers.

What the evidence and guideline groups say

Prices are easy to compare. Value is harder: in our research, none of these tests has trial evidence that screening healthy people with it helps them live longer. Here is where the main bodies stand, test by test.

  • Whole-body MRI. The American College of Radiology says there is not enough evidence to recommend total body screening for people without symptoms, risk factors or a family history [3]. In one early program, about 90% of patients had some finding and about 30% needed follow-up [17].
  • Galleri. The NHS-Galleri trial of 142,942 adults missed its primary goal of fewer stage III and IV cancers, though stage IV diagnoses were 14% lower [18]. The test is not FDA-approved; an FDA advisory panel voted in favor in Sept 2026 [19]. Details on the Galleri test page.
  • Coronary calcium. The ACC/AHA cholesterol guideline uses a calcium score to help adults 40 to 75 at intermediate risk decide about a statin [20]. See coronary calcium score.
  • Fitness. In 122,007 adults who had treadmill tests, the fittest group had an 80% lower adjusted risk of death than the least fit over a median 8.4 years (HR 0.20). This was observational [21].
  • Biological age. The same sample can give different results at different companies, and the clocks are not accepted by regulators as stand-ins for health outcomes [22].

How to choose a clinic or test

  1. Write down the question you want answered. Heart risk, cancer worry and fitness each point to different tests.
  2. Ask what happens after an abnormal result. Ask whether follow-up scans, biopsies and specialist visits are billed separately, and how your insurer treats them.
  3. Ask whether a physician reviews results and whether results go to your own doctor.
  4. Check what renews. Function Health says its $365 first-year offer renews at the then-current price [4].
  5. Compare against a hospital executive physical or a concierge practice if you want one physician to own the plan.

Questions people ask

How much does a longevity clinic cost?

On Oct 17 2026, a Superpower blood panel membership was $199 a year [1], while Human Longevity Inc charged $8,000 a year for Executive Health and $19,000 a year for 100+ Concierge [2]. Lifeforce listed $149 a month plus a $349 enrollment fee on a promo page [10].

Does insurance cover longevity clinics?

Most longevity memberships are cash-pay. Function Health and Superpower say their memberships are HSA/FSA eligible [23] [1]. Galleri is not covered by Medicare or most insurers [13], and Original Medicare generally does not cover a calcium score scan [14].

Is a full-body MRI worth it for a healthy person?

The American College of Radiology says there is not enough evidence to recommend total body MRI screening for people without symptoms, risk factors or family history [3]. In one early screening program about 30% of patients needed follow-up and about 1% had a malignant or suspected malignant finding [17].

Which longevity test is used in a US clinical guideline?

Among common longevity tests, the coronary calcium CT scan, which most people pay $100 to $150 for in cash [14], is used in the ACC/AHA cholesterol guideline to guide statin decisions for adults 40 to 75 at intermediate risk [20].

What is a longevity doctor?

Our sources do not describe a separate board specialty called longevity medicine, so ask what board certification a clinic's doctors hold. Clinics that use the term sell cash-pay tests such as whole-body MRI, which the ACR does not recommend for routine screening of people without symptoms [3].

Is Neko Health available in the US?

Yes. A news report says Neko Health opened its first US clinic at 300 Lafayette St in SoHo, New York, on Sept 24 2026, with a $499 scan that does not use MRI or radiation, and plans for Miami, Washington DC and San Francisco [11].

How do I compare longevity clinics?

Compare the yearly price, what renews (Function Health renews its $365 offer at the then-current price [4]), how many draws or scans are included, who reviews results, and how follow-up is billed. Whole-body MRI leads to follow-up for about 30% of patients in one program [17].
