Sleep apnea: a second reason to ask about Zepbound

FDA approved Zepbound for moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity on Dec 20 2024 [10]. In the label's sleep apnea trials, breathing events per hour fell by 25.3 and 29.3 on average versus about 5 on placebo at 52 weeks [11]. Coverage for the sleep apnea use can differ from coverage for weight loss, so ask your plan about it; see Zepbound insurance.
