Concierge and longevity medicine in San Diego

Concierge medicine in San Diego follows national pricing: Harvard Medical School reports membership fees from thousands to tens of thousands of dollars a year [1], and Sollis Health, which operates in Southern California, starts at $4,000 a year [2]. We did not find a San Diego practice that posts its own fee online, so ask for it in writing.

No California DPC statute

DPC Frontier finds no California law directly addressing direct primary care [4]. That does not ban DPC, but it means there is no state safe harbor defining it apart from insurance. Federal HSA rules, effective Jan 1 2026, let HSA funds pay DPC fees up to $150 a month for an individual when the practice does not bill insurance [9].

If you are on Medicare

Medicare does not pay concierge fees, and practices that accept assignment cannot charge the fee for services Medicare covers. If the fee includes non-covered items, you should get an Advance Beneficiary Notice [10]. See Medicare and concierge care.

A short checklist

  1. Ask for the annual fee, payment options and refund terms in writing.
  2. Confirm the doctor on the Medical Board of California site [5].
  3. Ask which hospital system the doctor admits patients to.
  4. Compare with direct primary care and an executive physical if you mainly want testing.
