The case against Hers right now

Hers is not a separate company. It is a brand of Hims & Hers Health, and the July 2026 lawsuit names the company [1]. According to the wire report, regulators allege the company:

  1. Enrolled customers in subscriptions without clear disclosure.
  2. Made cancellation difficult while charges continued.
  3. Shared health data with Meta and Snap to target ads.

None of this has been decided by a court. The company posted a response on its investor site that we could not read [4]. Under our rating rules, open regulator action is enough for an avoid rating.

The Hers FDA letter

FDA's letter to Hims & Hers Health dba Hers, dated Sep 9 2025, quoted two lines from forhers.com: "Weekly injectable GLP-1 with the same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy" and "Clinically proven ingredients" [2]. FDA says calling a compounded drug the same as an approved one, or clinically proven, is misleading [5]. The Hims brand got a matching letter the same day [6].

Compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved. FDA does not review it for safety, effectiveness or quality, and it had logged 990 adverse event reports for compounded semaglutide as of May 31 2026 [7]. Read more in compounded semaglutide: cost, legality and safety.

What Hers weight loss may cost

We have no Hers price we can stand behind. The closest data point is the sister Hims site, run by the same company, checked Oct 17 2026 [3]. Hers may price differently.

Tirzepatide, Zepbound and the Wegovy pill at Hers

Many readers ask whether Hers offers tirzepatide, Zepbound or the Wegovy pill. We could not confirm the Hers menu. The Hims site, from the same company, listed brand Zepbound, the Wegovy pill and Foundayo on Oct 17 2026, and no compounded tirzepatide [3]. Ask Hers in writing which drug, dose, pharmacy and monthly total you will pay before you sign up.

Who should look elsewhere

If you are weighing Hers, keep two facts in mind. Brand GLP-1 prices are set by Lilly and Novo, so a membership is the main extra cost. And the lawsuit is about how hard it was to stop paying. Label warnings that apply to every brand GLP-1

Wegovy and Zepbound labels warn about thyroid C-cell tumors in rodents and rule out use with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2 [10] [11]. Stop when pregnancy is recognized. Get care for stomach pain that will not let up, which can be pancreatitis, and for rash, swelling or trouble breathing. Low blood sugar is a risk with insulin or a sulfonylurea. Call 911 in an emergency.
