Without insurance, Zepbound sells for $299 to $449 a month on LillyDirect [3]. Compounded tirzepatide has no manufacturer coupon because Lilly does not make it.

A tirzepatide coupon is a discount on tirzepatide, the active ingredient in Lilly's Zepbound and Mounjaro; Lilly's versions are copay savings cards for people with commercial insurance.

Mounjaro savings card terms

  • For commercially insured patients with a Mounjaro prescription for an approved use that matches its FDA labeling [2]. Mounjaro's approved uses are in type 2 diabetes [6].
  • Covered: pay as little as $25, with savings up to $150 per 1-month fill, $300 per 2-month and $450 per 3-month, and $1,950 a year [2].
  • Not covered: pay as low as $499 for a 1-month fill, with savings up to $647 a month and $8,411 a year [2].
  • Up to 13 fills a year; must be 18 or older, live in the US or Puerto Rico, and sign a HIPAA authorization [2].
  • Excludes anyone in a state, federal or government-funded plan, including Medicare, Medicaid, VA and TRICARE [2]. "Card expires and savings end on 12/31/2026" [2].

Zepbound savings card terms

The Zepbound card covers the single-dose pen and the KwikPen, not vials, and needs commercial insurance; it is capped at $100 a month and $1,300 a year when your plan covers Zepbound [1]. The full terms, with worked examples, are on our Zepbound savings card page.

Is there a coupon for compounded tirzepatide?

No manufacturer coupon exists, because compounded tirzepatide is made by compounding pharmacies, not Lilly, and it is not FDA-approved [8]. Telehealth "intro" prices are discounts on a program, not coupons for the drug. Lilly's savings cards do not apply to it [1] [2]. If you are comparing cash prices, see cheapest tirzepatide online and compounded tirzepatide.

Which option fits you

  • Commercial plan covers Zepbound or Mounjaro: use the matching savings card; you may pay as little as $25 until the annual savings cap is used up [1] [2].
  • Commercial plan does not cover it: compare the card's not-covered price ($499 pen) with LillyDirect's Zepbound vial or KwikPen at $299 to $449 [1] [3].
  • No insurance: LillyDirect self-pay [3]. See tirzepatide cost.
  • Medicare: the cards are excluded [1] [2]; ask about the GLP-1 Bridge for the Zepbound KwikPen [4] [7]. See GLP-1s and Medicare.

Tirzepatide safety

Zepbound and Mounjaro both contain tirzepatide; do not use them together [5]. Zepbound has a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumors seen in rodents; do not use it with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2 [5]. Low blood sugar is more likely with insulin or a sulfonylurea. Severe stomach pain that will not go away needs prompt care. Call 911 for signs of a severe allergic reaction.
